The third book of artist duo Inka & Niclas Lindergård „Extensions“ presents their artist practice from recent years, from the ghostly, transcendental photographs in Family Portraits to the shiny sculptures in Sunset Photography. „Extensions“, published by Art & Theory, was designed by Sepidar Hosseini and includes an essay by curator and writer Olga Krzeszowiec Malmsten.
The work by Inka & Niclas explores the relationship between humans and nature as depicted through the camera lens. Their diverse practice draws inspiration from the aesthetics of popular culture, examining its influence on how we perceive nature. They challenge our perception of the nature, that can feel trivial to someone who has seen too many reproduced depictions, and playfully explore what photography can be in the encounter with new materials and forms.
