The monograph includes work from the last 25 years and offers a comprehensive overview of her artistic practice.
The work of Marike Schuurman, a Berlin-based Dutch artist, explores the ambiguity of human-made spaces and landscapes, as well as of the media of photography in which she works. The starting point of Schuurman’s work is stories or situations that she observes and deals with absurd human attempts to change or influence the world around them.
