Sacha Weidner’s work has been included in the installation „MIMESE(FUTSCH)“ by the artist duo Lindner & Steinbrenner. Using art transport boxes, they have created a space for both exploring and hiding. Most of the art in the museum is displayed at adult eye level on the walls. But here, things are different: many of the boxes can only be explored by those who are small. Weidner’s „Code II“, 2011 is integrated into the installation in a way that demands closeness—it only reveals itself when viewed up close.
As a photographer, Sascha Weidner’s work deals with the creation of a radical subjective pictorial world. Perceptions and aspirations characterize his works. They aim to illuminate the world of the subconscious. The artist transforms visible reality into codes, into encrypted pictures.
In addition, the work of Sascha Weidner is included in the exhibition ELEMENTARTEILE, at Sprengel Museum, which will close September 2025.
