The exhibition presents works of all 15 scholarship holder who have been supported by the AArtist in Residence programme since 2016, among them Henrik Strömberg, Susa Templin and Yvon Chabrowski.

Henrik Strömberg (double negative, 2019), Susa Templin (BerlinWest, 2020) and Yvon Chabrowski (SWAYING, 2019) are participating in the exhibition In weiter Ferne so nah (Far away so close) at Haus am Lützowplatz.

The exhibition brings together all fifteen fellows who have been supported by the AArtist in Residence programme since 2016. The project, launched in 2015 jointly by Frank-Walter Steinmeier as then Foreign Minister and Werner Tammen, Chairman of the Landesverband Berliner Galerien (lvbg), is the first artist-in-residence programme in a German Federal Ministry and unique in this form worldwide. The residency is aimed primarily at artists who come from abroad or who deal intensively with global issues in their work. The programme is part of the ministry’s cultural and educational policy, which forms the „third pillar“ of German foreign policy alongside political and economic relations.

In cooperation with the Federal Foreign Office (AA) and Landesverband Berliner Galerien (lvbg).
