Prof. Dr. Stefan Weinzierl will talk about the importance of hearing for everyday well-being and artistic exploration.

During the opening of Jenny Brockmann’s exhibition On Ambivalence, Dorothée Nilsson Gallery is hosting a Long Night of Sciences lecture by acoustician and musicologist Prof. Dr. Stefan Weinzierl, who teaches at the TU Berlin.

Stefan Weinzierl will talk about the importance of acoustics and hearing for orientation in space and for a sense of balance, especially in complex, urban environments. Examples from recent research will show the importance of the sense of hearing for everyday well-being, but also the artistic potential that arises when this balance is disturbed.
