Adjacent Hour points towards dusk, the period when sunlight recedes and the sky darkens. Several of the works in the exhibition revolve around the constant oscillation between periods of light and darkness, day and night.
Together with Olof Nimar Johan Österholm is showing work at Olseröds Konsthall. His photographic series At Day’s Close captures the reflection of the sunset in a still-slumbering street lamp. In Lantern Smashers, he focuses on nesting sparrows occupying gas lanterns for their own use, extinguishing the lights throughout the breeding season, and bringing an ounce of darkness back to the city.
