SASCHA WEIDNER | Upcoming Exhibition

Opening: 06.09.2025, 6 – 9 pm

07.09. – 01.11.2025

Dorothée Nilsson Gallery is happy to present the upcoming solo exhibition Mehr Licht by Sascha Weidner. This exhibition marks ten years since Weidner’s passing and honors the lasting impact of his work.

We are honored to present a solo exhibition of Sascha Weidner’s work, opening Saturday, September 6th, at Dorothée Nilsson Gallery, closing November 1st. The exhibition will be accompanied by an event at Berlinische Galerie during Berlin Art Week.

The essence lies in the moment – from it emerge our perceptions, desires, dreamscapes, and memories. Through his photography, Sascha Weidner captures and honors the fleeting perfection of a moment, embracing both himself and the world around him with radical openness. His profoundly personal visual cosmos unfolds like a lyrical film of life, where each frame pulses with vibrant affirmation or rests in quiet melancholy.

Sascha Weidner (1974 – 2015) lived and worked in Belm and Berlin, Germany. His work is part of the collection of Berlinische Galerie, Berlin; Collection IBB, Berlin; Alexander Tutsek Foundation, Munich; Museum Folkwang, Essen; Sprengel Museum, Hanover; and the JPMorgan Chase Art Collection, New York.
