A series of new works by Henrik Strömberg will be on view at HNK until 28 September. Curated by Jens Soneryd, the works open liminal passages into human perception, while works made of natural and reworked materials reflect on change, decay, and transition. Through different art practices, collage, overpainting, and obscuring, the artist creates tension between revealing and concealing. Glass containers, collages, and plaster boards within a wooden structure suggest a “room within a room,” where gathering is less about documenting and more about subverting and renegotiating reality.
On the 6th of September, 4 pm – Artist talk and an introduction to the project “Gathering forest” – a collaboration between HNK and the Kunstverein am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz Berlin with Henrik Strömberg, Jens and Linda Soneryd and the director of the Kunstverein zur Förderung von Kunst und Kultur am Rosa Luxemburg Platz e.V. in Berlin, Susanne Prinz.
