We are excited to announce that Dorothée Nilsson Gallery is one of the ten galleries awarded the EMOP Gallery Concept Award 2026/27! The award recognises exhibition projects developed specifically for EMOP Berlin – European Month of Photography 2027 and which will be realised as part of the festival.
We are delighted to show Margot Wallard’s latest project Oran – On y sera ensemble during EMOP, a photographic exploration of the ways in which memories are transmitted and transformed across generations by intertwining family archives with contemporary narratives.
Wallard’s work understands memory as a continuous process in flux: by challenging one-sided narratives, it opens up spaces where a descendant’s perspective on her family’s history is given equal weight alongside a critical examination of European colonial history.
