Henrik Strömberg will present an immersive installation with video, light, and sound work at Kunstverein am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz.

The project explores the ephemeral existence of humanity in relation to its transient, increasingly collapsing environment, which is literally just melting away in many places.  A landscape of amphora-shaped glass bodies will populate the space, combining with plaster and metal objects to create an expansive installation in which the sculptural volumes will contain found historical objects, collected and reused materials, and lost, found, and repurposed artifacts.

A program of conversations, performances, and readings will accompany the exhibition. The public will be invited to join at the bar counter created especially for the exhibition. While the ice cubes are melting in the glass, the talk will be about the same phenomenon at the poles, about viruses and microorganisms, about surveillance, and much more. Invited guests include William Cody Maher, Jens Soneryd, and K. Yoland.
