The Château de Nyon has long organized exhibitions in which old and contemporary art mingle, enabling different types of visitors to discover facets of art to which they would not necessarily have paid attention. This exhibition on the theme of gold in contemporary art on the ground floor of the castle resonates with the 18th-century porcelain produced in Nyon exhibited on the first floor, in the form of an exceptional piece decorated with the monogram of its then owner – O R – in gold.
