We are delighted to share that Julia Peirone has been awarded the Uno Troilis Scholarship Fund by the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts. Peirone is widely recognized for her meticulously staged photographic tableaux, which explore girlhood and adolescence, where vulnerability, resistance, and self-conscious performance coexist in psychologically charged scenes. Her work probes the dynamics of looking, balancing intimacy and distance, and has established her as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary Scandinavian photography.
