With the artists Susa Templin and Inge Dick, photography moves into the Museum für Konkrete Kunst in Ingolstadt. Two women, two generations, two positions: Neither sees herself as a photographer, but merely uses the medium. Each of them independently occupies a floor of the MKK and negotiates the relationship between space, light, and time in her own way.
Susa Templin thinks from spaces. She sees herself less as a photographer and more as an artist between painting and sculpture, whose medium is analog photography. In her work, she reflects on photographic art both as the medium and the content. Templin brings her idea of photography into space at the MKK – literally and doubly so: the artist installs Spatial Abstractions – spaces made of images of spaces – reacting to the light and time conditions of the museum.
